Today, a reader asks:
“Dear Diva, I redoing the window blinds in my living room and I want everything to coordinate. But I’ve got four horizontal windows and one huge slider. What can I do?”
Because you know that you want something that coordinates when you go to check out color swatches only look at the categories that coordinate together, ask your decor professional or look for a link that says coordinating. This way you’re only looking at what you can have instead of looking at everything out there. This may help you make a decision and not seem so overwhelmed too. Several companies make coordinating lines. Two of those companies are Bali and Levolor.
Bali makes vinyl horizontals to make some of their vinyl verticals. They also coordinate the fabrics of their Roman Shades, Roller Shades, and Sliding Panels. Sliding panels are great, but more expensive alternative to vertical blinds. They are basically what they sound like. Straight panels of fabric that slide out of the way. Typically a sliding glass door would have 4 or more panels. That way only around 20″ of your window would be covered at all time.
Levolor makes several of their cellular colors in coordinating Perceptions. From Levolor’s literate on the product, Perceptions “are produced by draping vertical vanes with a soft flowing fabric.” So basically it’s a vertical blind that looks like drapery. You can even chose the Estate Valance, which looks just like a fancy curtain rod. Levolor also has coordinating 2″ Faux wood blinds and vinyl vertical blinds. The line is called Visions and comes in 6 wood colors. Levolor was the first to offer such a popular blind with a coordinating vertical blind.
I’ve suggested Levolor and Bali because their literate and websites are both friendly and easy to read. And combined they offer every option you could think of for your task of coordinating window blinds.
